SKEWER HOLDER
American ,  18th c.

Very fine and rare 18th c. New England wrought iron blacksmith made skewer holder with 3 skewers. The holder, lovely simple, yet well thought inspired form, graceful arms with scrolled ends, robust diamond body, ending in a pronounced lollipop with hole for hanging. Range of skewer lengths, one with a twist in the body, another with curled loop. Very fine untouched as descended condition.

Holder width: 4 7/8 inches ~ Skewers lengths: 6 - 9 1/2 inches.
